Two out-of-school programs in Sheboygan County have received some state grant money.
The over $2.45 million received by the Sheboygan County YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club of Sheboygan County were a part of a total of $50 million Governor Tony Evers announced last week given out through the “Beyond the Classroom Grant”.
The YMCA got just over $876,000, while the Boy and Girls Club received just shy of $208,000 to help cover the cost of programs for this and next year.
The money was a part of the federal American Rescue Plan Act to support virtual and in-person programming for school-aged children.
