The Green Bay Police Officers who shot and killed the gunman in the May 1st shooting at Oneida Casino will not face charges.
According to Brown County District Attorney David Lasee, the officers had to react in quick fashion upon arrival to the scene.
He stated that when the shooter, 62-year-old Bruce Pofahl raised his weapon, Sgt. Brian Jordan, Officer MaKayla Wolfe, and Officer Ben Snyder βwere aware that he posed an imminent risk of death or great bodily harm to themselves and to other individuals.β
Also, an employee at the Duck Creek Kitchen and Bar said that Pofahl had been sexually harassing them, and stated he was upset about losing his job.
The unnamed harassment victim also said that they believed 32-year-old Chef Ian Simpson was the main target, and that 35 Jacob Bartel, who also died in the attack, was simply βtoo close to Ian.β
