Ascend Services in Manitowoc is hosting a Legislative Mixer this afternoon (August 12th).
The private event will focus on employing people with disabilities in the community. Several legislators and business leaders will be in attendance at the Sub Pub, located on the roof of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
The mixer will start at 2:00 and will end at 4:00 PM with several participants offering up testimonials.
Part of the event’s cost will be paid for with grant money received from the Employment First and Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities.
