
An arrest has been made in an armed robbery case in Appleton early yesterday morning (August 11th).
According to a report from the Appleton Police Department, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress at Memorial Liquor, located in the 400 block of South Memorial Drive, about ten minutes after midnight.
When they arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene, but not before they struck the clerk several times with a handgun.
A shot was fired, but no one was hit by the round. However, the suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Kyle D. Peebles, was reportedly hit in the head by the gun as it recoiled.
He was located a short time later in the area and was arrested on charges of Armed Robbery, First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Substantial Battery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Disorderly Conduct with use of a Dangerous Weapon, and two counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
