The S.S. Badger Carferry has put a stop to its sailing season after one of its crew members tested positive for the coronavirus.
Three other crew members are under quarantine after Interlake Maritime Services conducted contact tracing.
In a statement released on the Carferry Facebook page, IMS President Mark Barker said that they hope it is an isolated incident, but “to reduce the risk of the virus spreading, we will be voluntarily suspending S.S. Badger sailings for approximately one week.”
The ship will sail once again on Thursday, August 19th, and IMS will continue to update the public as more information becomes available.
