Packers head coach Matt LaFleur says Jordan Love will start Saturday’s first preseason game against the Houston Texans.
LaFleur says it’s possible reigning N-F-L Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers won’t play a single down before the regular-season opener.
Love will be making his preseason and N-F-L debut at Lambeau Field.
Preseason games were canceled last year and he was inactive for all 18 games during the regular season and playoffs.
Taking snaps during live game action will be important to Love’s progression toward an eventual starting role.
