A Democratic member of the Wisconsin Assembly Campaign and Elections Committee says subpoenas issued last week probably aren’t valid.
Committee chair Janel Brandtjen is demanding all ballots and voting machines from the 2020 presidential election.
Beloit Representative Mark Spreitzer says Brandtjen’s signature isn’t enough.
The subpoenas need to be signed by Speaker Robin Vos and the chief clerk of the Assembly.
Vos has said he doesn’t support Brandtjen’s examination.
Two investigations of the November results are already being conducted.
