A high-speed chase in Fond du Lac County resulted in a 29-year-old Illinois man being busted for drug possession.
It all started as a routine traffic stop at around 4:30 PM Friday afternoon, which took place on County Highway D near the intersection with Brown Road in the Town of Fond du Lac.
The officer smelled drugs and asked the driver to step out of the vehicle, but instead, the man took off.
The Deputies chased the man for about three-quarters of a mile, before he lost control of his vehicle, and came to a stop in the Radisson Hotel Parking lot.
The police found about half a pound of cocaine in the vehicle, along with roughly a pound of ecstasy.
The suspect’s name has not yet been released.
