The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee says it is moving forward with mask and COVID-19 testing mandates, despite state lawmakers’ claims they have the power to overrule the restrictions.
U-W-Milwaukee Chancellor Mark Mone says his campus will keep the mandates in place to keep its students safe from coronavirus.
Mone says it’s “not about politics.”
Earlier this week the Legislature’s Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules asserted it has the final oversight.
