A rockslide has injured three members of a Colorado search and rescue team while they were trying to recover the body of a hiker from Wisconsin.
32-year-old Kelly McDermott had fallen to his death from a peak outside Aspen. He had worked as a respiratory therapist at U-W Health.
While the four-man team was trying to reach the body, a group of hikers higher on Capitol Peak may have caused the rockslide.
One member of the team suffered serious injuries and required surgery.
That led the mission to be aborted.
Officials say weather conditions may delay the recovery effort for days, or even weeks.
