A woman in Oshkosh is facing charges after she allegedly hired a hitman.
The Oshkosh Police began investigating after they were informed that a resident of the city was attempting to hire someone to commit a murder.
39-year-old Melissa A. Smith was identified as a suspect during the investigation and was arrested during a traffic stop near Jackson Street and County Highway Y in Oshkosh on Tuesday (August 3rd) at around 8:00 PM.
Smith has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Homicide.
The targeted victim was not hurt.
