University officials are telling everyone to wear a mask if they’re going to enter any building on the U-W-Madison campus.
The mask mandate goes into effect Tuesday.
It was announced a few hours after a Wisconsin legislative committee claimed it had the right to block any protocols announced by the U-W System.
University officials say they are putting the mask mandate into effect due to the increase in cases of the Delta variant of COVID-19.
The Wisconsin Legislature’s Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules maintains it has final oversight over any action like that.
