The Green Bay Packers are going all-in with quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the 2021 N-F-L season, but it could get ugly after that.
The restructured deal with the future Hall of Famer means the Packers are almost $50 million over the salary cap for 2022, which will likely be a transition year.
A trade or extension for Rodgers will be necessary and several solid players will have to go.
Rodgers’ cap number next year is $46 million and the team also has to figure out how to meet the demands of All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams.
