A garage caught fire in Kaukauna Friday evening (July 30th), resulting in $40,000 in damage.
The Kaukauna Fire Department was called to the scene in the 1900 block of Augustine Street just after 9:00 PM to battle the blaze.
No injuries were reported, and the home was not damaged, as the garage was not attached to the home.
Fire Department Officials are using this case as a reminder for citizens to check their smoke detector’s batteries.
In most fires, residents are made aware of the fire due to the smoke detectors, and ensuring the batteries are not dead could save your life in the future.
