Governor Tony Evers declared a statewide State of Emergency following severe weather overnight in several parts of Wisconsin.
The storms caused widespread damage, downed trees and powerlines, road closures, and power outages. Evers said the declaration will ensure state resources are available to get communities the support and help they need.
The National Weather Service is confirming at least two tornadoes in southeast Wisconsin. Officials say an EF-1 tornado touched down around 1:15 AM today (Thursday) in Concord in Jefferson County and an EF-0 twister was confirmed in Wales in Waukesha County.
