One of the two people charged with the death of a toddler in 2018 in Manitowoc is in court this week for her trial.
41-year-old Jamie Schrank has been charged with Repeated Acts of Physical Abuse of a Child Causing Death as a Party to the Crime and had her trial start on Monday (July 26th).
Schrank and 49-year-old Edwardo Gamez were arrested reportedly smoking meth while watching the 3-year-old child and two other children.
The victim was found to have bruises and other injuries that indicated sustained abuse and neglect.
Gamez was previously sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Schrank could face life imprisonment if convicted.
