The trial date has been set for a Manitowoc woman who was charged with OWI after crashing her car, killing her granddaughter.
Monica Walker will be in court on January 11th for a pre-trial conference, then her three-day trial will begin on February 1st.
Walker was reportedly driving north on I-43 south of Middle Road in Manitowoc on February 8th of this year at around 8:40 AM, when she lost control on a patch of ice, rolled her vehicle, resulting in the death of her nine-year-old granddaughter, Tkyia Brewer.
Walker admitted to drinking the night before, and a breathalyzer came back with a BAC of 0.092.
Walker is facing charges of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle, and Knowingly Operating a Motor Vehicle While Revoked Causing Death.
