A distraught man with a weapon drew concerns at the Walmart in Bellevue yesterday.
The man was reportedly trying to cash a check and had a weapon in a holster, which led to the Brown County Sheriff’s Department being called to the scene.
The man reportedly left the store before authorities arrived and traveled north on Main Street.
Authorities are reporting that the man never took the weapon out of its holster or pointed it at anyone, and there were no injuries.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Department has identified the man but is not releasing the information as they attempt to make contact with him to hear his side of the story.
The public is not believed to be in any danger.
