Man Safe After Falling Through Ice On Lake Menomin

Police say a man is safe after falling through the ice on Lake Menomin. Officials say the man fell through the ice early Saturday morning in the bay next to Evergreen cemetery on Shorewood Drive. The Menomonie Fire Department deployed a dive team and underwater camera but could not locate any evidence of a person trapped under the ice. Police determined that the man had been able to reach safety with his own equipment. The individual told police no one else had gone through the ice.
