The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers defeated the Peoria Chiefs last night 6-1 at Dozer Park in the central Illinois city.
The Timber Rattlers took the lead in the fourth inning thanks to back-to-back doubles from Hayden Cantrelle and, Korry Howell, who also narrowly missed a home run. Cantrelle batted Howell in with his own double to left-center field.
The Chiefs would answer in the bottom of the 4th with a solo home run by Chandler Redmond, but that was all the offense they could muster.
Three Rattler pitchers, Victor Castaneda, Arman, Sabouri, and Evan Reifert, combined to strike out nineteen Chiefs batters in the victory.
The teams will continue their seven-game series in Peoria tonight, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM.
