It was a game of small ball at Capital Credit Union Park in Green Bay yesterday (July 12th), as the Green Bay Booyah defeated theĀ Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 4-2.
There were only three extra-base hits in the game, with two of those coming for the home team.
Booyah starting pitcher Mykel Page picked up the win, going 5 and a third innings, allowing 6 hits, walking 1, and striking out two. Mason Coon earned the save, allowing no hits in the 9th inning, while striking out one batter.
Fond du Lac starting pitcher Carlson Reed was tagged with the loss.
Since starting the season with a 13-22 record, the Booyah have gone 5-2 in the second half of the season, but still sit 9 games behind the Dock Spiders for first place in the Great Lakes West.
The Booyah and Dock Spiders will square off again tonight, this time at Herr-Baker Field in Fond du Lac. Start time is scheduled for 6:35 PM.
