A 34-year-old Wisconsin man could face charges in a heroin overdose death near Crandon. The Forest County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 9-1-1 call November 29th. Twenty-nine-year-old Warren VanZile wasn’t breathing. Deputies were told he had taken heroin. Deputies gave him C-P-R, but VanZile died later that night. Noel Vandiver was arrested after an investigation was conducted. It could take until sometime next month before the State Crime Lab concludes its work on the evidence, so the second-degree reckless homicide charges could wait until then.
