Governor Tony Evers signed the 2021-2023 State Budget yesterday, and DATCP Secretary Designee Randy Romanski has issued a statement on it.
Romanski said that the budget “continues to prioritize investments in agriculture” and that it “strengthens our state’s economy through substantial funding increases in broadband and additional transportation infrastructure like local roads, harbors and freight.”
He also highlighted several specific items, including the expansion of dairy processor grants to promote industry innovation and the creation of a new meat processing grant program among others as a reason the budget is good for Wisconsin’s Ag industry.
Romanski also said that it’s “good to see the bi-partisan agreement on the budget.”
