Following a rain postponed game on Tuesday, the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets split a doubleheader yesterday in New York.
The Mets won the opener 4-3, in a game that went 8 innings. The crew scored in the top of the final frame to take the lead but gave up two in the bottom half.
The Crew came back with a vengeance in the second game, winning 5-0. Brett Anderson got the start, giving up three hits, while three relievers slammed the door shut, allowing no more offense for the Mets.
Luis Urias had a good day at the plate, accounting for four hits and three RBIs over the 15 innings, while Jace Peterson got two hits, and Manny Pinna drove in two with his one hit.
The Brewers return home for a four-game set against the Cincinnati Reds, who trail the crew by 6 games in the NL Central. First pitch at American Family Field is scheduled for 7:10 PM, in a game you can hear on 107.9 FM WOMT.
