A couple of recent renovation projects were completed in Two Rivers. Last week, crews worked diligently to repair the storm water main under the Mariners Trail and Memorial Drive near Highway 42 and Roosevelt Avenue. In mid-November, it was noticed that the main was beginning to collapse, and the Two Rivers Engineering Office, Wisconsin DOT and County Highway Commission put a plan together to get it fixed. Work was completed late last week, and will be monitored over the next few months. A new lighting system was installed in the two upper diamonds at Vietnam Veterans Park. The lighting system, which is all new from the electric service through the control panel, to the underground wiring, to the poles and lights, cost about $300,000. The project was assisted by donations and fund-raising by Two Rivers Youth Sports.
