The Two Rivers School District will have a new superintendent this coming school year.
Retiring Superintendent Lisa Quistorff was on WOMT’s Be My Guest show yesterday morning and introduced her successor, Diane Johnson.
Johnson said of her new role, “It’s nice to come to Two Rivers and be able to know what it’s like to be in a traditional building and also have that virtual piece with the Lighthouse Academy”
Johnson had previously served as principal at Birchwood, a small district in northwestern Wisconsin, having served as a teacher for a few years.
She explained she was attracted to Two Rivers because she “loved Lake Michigan” and “the beauty of this area. And in exploring the possibility of moving back to this area the Two Rivers job came up, and in reading about it and looking at their mission and exploring their website I really felt that their beliefs matched my beliefs.”
Quistorff said that she feels her successor is a perfect fit for the position.
Johnson has purchased a house in the Two Rivers district and will be moving in soon.
