Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will sign the “Mining for America” bill today (Monday) in Rhinelander. That move will end the state’s moratorium on gold and silver mining. Although Walker voted to impose the 1998 moratorium when he was in the state Assembly, the Republican now says he believes it’s possible to run a mining operation without damaging the environment.
