Update on 12/12/17:
Due to the forecasted snow for Wednesday, the Contractor has decided to wait until Monday, December 18th to start the work, weather permitting.
Due to the light snow this morning and the predicted cold wind chills on Tuesday, the Contractor has decided to wait until Wednesday, December 13th to start work on this project.
1 eastbound lane on Franklin Street between South 8th and South 9th Street will be closed to traffic starting at approximately 8:00 A.M. on Monday, December 11th.
The lane closure is needed in order for Directional Drilling Services (DDS) to complete electrical work they are doing for the Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU).
One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times on Franklin Street between South 8th and South 9th Street.
In addition, the parking lanes and sidewalks on both sides of Franklin St. will also be closed during the project.
It is anticipated that the work will be completed on or before December 22nd, weather permitting.
Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution within the construction zone.
