The seventh-seeded Roncalli Jets were major underdogs entering their second round Sectional matchup with Green Lake/Princeton, but they got a near flawless pitching effort from Jena Garceau and picked up the victory 5-0.
Garceau pitch a no-hitter through 8 innings, sticking out 11 on the way and was one walk away from a perfect game.
The Jets’ offense couldn’t give her any help until the extra frame, however, but when they came alive, they brought in five runs to secure the upset.
Maddie Hablewitz led the jets with three hits in five at-bats, as they advance to take on third-seeded Stockbridge/Hilbert.
