The following is a press release from United Way Manitowoc County by Country Hansen, Community Engagement Manager.
United Way Manitowoc County is once again celebrating United Way’s Annual Day of Action – a global day of service – in Manitowoc County. Their Annual Day of Action is scheduled for Friday, June 18.
This year, United Way is encouraging individuals, families, and company teams to volunteer their time to complete two signature projects. The first is remotely assembling 400 diversity, equity, and inclusion kits for Manitowoc County children. The kits can be assembled either at home or at your company’s office. The second is distributing 1,000 door hangers featuring information about United Way’s critical resources – 211 and SingleCare – across the community.
In addition to United Way’s signature projects, interested volunteers are encouraged to use their Volunteer Connection Center to find projects at other local nonprofit organizations.
