As people resume some of their normal activities in the closing stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Red Cross needs your help to avoid a summer blood donation slump.
Individuals of all blood types are urged to scheduled an appointment now to give blood, and in most cases, those who’ve received a COVID-19 vaccine can donate.
The next donation opportunity in Manitowoc County is happening next Tuesday, May 18th at the Manitowoc/Two Rivers YMCA. Area residents can give the gift of life between the hours of 11:00 and 4:00 PM.
Appointments can be made by downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App, by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or, enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device.
