
A Manitowoc man charged with assaulting another man with a baseball bat has had bail set.
Tristan Schrauth appeared before court commissioner Luke La Fave Friday (May 7th) and had his bail set at $1,000 cash with the condition that he have no contact with his victim.
The 19-year-old Schrauth was arrested in the early morning hours of April 28th after a confrontation with a man who was in his apartment in the 1800 block of Clark Street with Schrauth’s live-in girlfriend.
The affair escalated to the point that Schrauth tried to push the victim out the door with an aluminum baseball bat and struck him with it several times, including at least one blow to the head.
He faces charges of aggravated battery with intent to cause great bodily harm while armed with a dangerous weapon, along with two counts of felony bail jumping.
His next court appearance will be on May 17th at 1:30 pm in county court Branch Two.
