National Nurses Week is currently being celebrated and runs through next Wednesday, May 12, and a local representative to the state legislature marked the occasion with a visit to the Bay at North Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.
After touring the facility, State Representative Paul Tittl presented a framed letter to the staff, and had this to say: “The purpose is to thank all the great people that were . . . stepped it up during the COVID crisis, and to thank all the nurses and the CNAs and all the people that took care of our sick. And I think it’s very appropriate to make sure that they get recognition.”
Tittl is a Republican who represents the 25th district in the State Assembly. In his remarks, Tittl thanked the nurses, therapists, and certified nursing assistants in the facility caring for area residents. The Bay at North Ridge is located on the north side of the city of Manitowoc, on North 7th street.
