A couple of organizations focused on preserving the natural beauty of the waterways in Manitowoc have teamed up to clean up several beaches in the city.
The Friends of the Manitowoc River Watershed and Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership are hosting a Lake Michigan Beach Cleanup day tomorrow (May 8th), where they will travel to the Silver Creek Park, University, Warm Waters, YMCA, and Maritime Boat Launch Beaches to pick up trash and other forms of debris.
They are inviting anyone who wishes to help clean up Manitowoc’s beaches to join them, as they will begin at 9:00 AM.
