A Manitowoc County village has found a company to remove snow this winter.
The Village of Whitelaw has announced that it will contract with Ryan Collins of Tower Excavating & Demolition to provide snowplowing and winter road maintenance for the upcoming season.
The company currently provides snow removal services to the Villages of Kellnersville and Maribel.
Whitelaw officials say that to ensure a timely response during winter weather, a loader equipped with a snow wing will be stationed within the village.
Tower Excavating will not use salt brine to keep roads clear but will lay down rock salt depending on road conditions.
Earlier this year, Manitowoc County’s Highway Department announced in August they will no longer provide snow plowing services to the Villages of St. Nazianz and Whitelaw, and the Town of Manitowoc, due to a shortage of highway maintenance workers.
