A Milwaukee man facing charges for an August triple homicide is heading to trial after making his final court appearance yesterday.
Prosecutors allege Thomas Zollicoffer shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, Vanessa DeHerrera, and two others at two locations before hiding out with a relative.
The high-profile case previously sparked political controversy when a judge stripped Zollicoffer’s jail-issued laptop access after he reportedly used it to threaten witnesses.
Family members of the victims wore purple in court for domestic violence awareness as the defense wrapped up final pre-trial motions.
