As Planned Parenthood locations around the country continue to close, a local branch has been added to the list.
A listener shared an email with SeehaferNews.com that came from Planned Parenthood, which states that the Manitowoc location will be permanently closing.
The final day of patient care will be on November 24th.
While the reason for the closure was not stated in that email, this comes as 60 or more clinics have closed or consolidated since January of 2025, according to a report by HealthCareDive.com.
That report claims that the closures are due to restrictions on funding for Medicaid and the Title X family planning program.
So far, Planned Parenthood branches in Delavan, Portage, Wisconsin Rapids, and West Bend have closed in Wisconsin, making Manitowoc the fifth such closure.
Patients are being directed to the locations in Sheboygan on South Taylor Drive, or on Onieda Street in Green Bay.
Protesters could often be seen walking the streets near the Manitowoc Planned Parenthood, despite the fact that the local branch did not conduct abortions.
