An individual was rescued after being trapped chest-deep in sand.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to Peter’s Concrete, located at 1516 Atkinson Drive, just before 2:30 yesterday afternoon (November 4th), where they found the unnamed individual.
Additional teams were called through the Box Alarm system, and after 30 minutes of work, they were able to rescue the individual.
They were transported to a local hospital for treatment. A firefighter also sustained an unspecified injury and was treated at the scene.
It is unclear how the person became trapped.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department thanked the Green Bay Police Department, Green Bay Department of Public Works, Howard Fire Department Technical Rescue, and Brown County Public Safety Communications for their assistance and coordination during the incident.
