One week ago today, the Milwaukee Brewers secured their first-ever World Series Championship.
The Crew was three outs away from completing the sweep of the Rays one day prior, which would have been the cherry on top of a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a Manitowoc father/son duo.
Sam Busse and his father Terry made the trip to Tampa, Florida, for Game 4 of the World Series, and they said despite the loss, it was an incredible experience.
“Incredible fans down there. Really, all the Rays fans we ran into were just great people, very welcoming to everyone who was down there,” Sam recalled. “It was probably at least 50/50 in the building as far as Brewers to Rays fans go.”
For Terry, it was a combination of so many great emotions. From spending some quality time with his son to the overall experience, he tells SeehaferNews.com that it was an experience he will never forget.

“I think we saw the best baseball we’ve ever seen, and I got to see my hometown team win the big one the next night,” he admitted with a chuckle, “…but we got to see them playing in the big one.”
Sam, who owns Tapped on the Lakeshore, also got a chuckle when he heard about Ferg’s Sports Bar, located directly across from Tropicana Field, sold over 84,000 beers and 45,000 wings over the three days Brewers fans were in town.
“Good for them. Absolutely good for them. I would love to be in that situation someday,” he said with a laugh. “We did walk past the bar down there. The sidewalk was six deep the entire length of the place, and it was about an entire block long where the sidewalk was six people deep trying to get into the place.”
Sam, still riding high from the experience, called on the Brewers to “Do it again next year,” while Terry praised the play of Series MVP, William Contreras, saying he played “Amazing.”
