A man who prosecutors say took a firearm onto the grounds of an Eau Claire elementary school is pleading no contest to charges.
Reports say that 34-year-old Andrey Sichuga went to Putnam Heights Elementary in April of last year, rang the bell and stood outside for five minutes before leaving.
Police stopped Sichuga as he pulled away and found a gun inside his pickup truck.
Sichuga, who had been passed over for a job at the school, has pleaded not contest to a weapons charge and been sentenced to two years of probation.
