The Sheboygan County Warming Center is now open.
The shelter officially opened its doors to guests on Sunday (November 1st), marking an earlier start to the season than in years past.
As the warming season gets in full swing, the Warming Center notes that they cannot care for those experiencing homelessness alone.
The Warming Center encourages anyone interested to volunteer their time overnight, prepare a meal for guests, or purchase bus passes over the colder months.
They also added, “Every act of kindness helps us continue caring for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Whether you give your time, a meal, needed supplies, or a financial gift, you are part of making this welcome possible.”
Links to sign up for volunteer shifts or to prepare a meal, as well as links to provide monetary donations, can be found online by visiting the Sheboygan County Warming Center Facebook page.
