The Chamber of Manitowoc County and WOMT 100 are teaming up to raise money for a scholarship fund.
The WOMT 100 Spooktacular Halloween Party takes place tomorrow from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Brick’s Downtown Bar and Grill.
The event will be a throwback to years of legendary Halloween parties hosted by WOMT and will include live entertainment from Riley Haupt.
The event will also feature games, the WOMT cash cube, and a grand prize drawing valued at more than $1,000.
The WOMT Spooktacular Costume Contest, which gets underway at 8:00 p.m., has four categories including scariest costume, funniest costume, most creative, and best group costume.
The event also supports the Chamber of Manitowoc County’s Chamber Ambassador Scholarship through a 50/50 raffle and more.
Chamber Executive Director Abbey Quistorf explained on the WCUB Breakfast Club that the scholarships help area high schoolers, whether they’re pursuing a two-year or four-year degree.
“After the first of the year, we will send them (the scholarships) off to the high schools,” she explained. “And so, any senior that is graduating in 2027 is eligible to apply for that scholarship. And the only requirement is that either they themselves have to be employed by a Chamber member business or organization. So, if they have a part-time job at Piggly Wiggly, or something like that. Or their parent or guardian is employed by a Chamber member or organization.”
