Investigators are praising the public after they helped close a graffiti case.
The Appleton Police Department asked the public for help on October 13th by posting a series of photos depicting swastikas spray-painted on a wall, an individual believed to be responsible, and a vehicle believed to belong to the suspect.
The post was shared over 200 times, plus numerous media outlets’ posts, which investigators say resulted in several tips.
Those tips submitted by the public helped investigators identify a suspect, and charges have been filed.
Their name has not been released.
The Appleton Police Department thanked the community “for their engagement and assistance in bringing closure to this case.”
