An apartment near downtown Green Bay caught fire yesterday afternoon.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was dispatched to “The Edge” apartments, located at 100 West Walnut Street, where they found smoke coming from the third floor.
A sweep of the apartment resulted in a dog being found and rescued.
The canine was said to be uninjured, and no human injuries were reported either.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze, but not before it caused an estimated $30,000 in damage.
Two people have been displaced while the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
