A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy remains in custody following the accidental shooting death of his 4-year-old sister.
Investigators say Jurnee Scales Walker was shot on Saturday when her 6-year-old brother got hold of an unsecured gun while playing inside their home.
Prosecutors charged the teenager with child neglect and firearm possession, pointing out that police recovered a second unsecured gun at the scene.
A court commissioner ordered the teen held in detention, and a hearing over his detention status is scheduled for Friday.
