The City of Kiel could take a major step toward a new Public Works and Electric Utility facility.
On its Tuesday agenda is the discussion and possible action to approve a revised building engineering agreement with MSA Professional Services.
City Administrator Ryan Pafford said the conceptual project includes a 44,700-square-foot Public Works and Electric Utility facility, a 13,800-square-foot cold storage building, a new salt storage facility, and other site improvements.
The early project budget is estimated to be $25.5 million.
Approval of the engineering agreement will allow staff and consultants to begin the formal design process and continue advancing a project intended to address Kiel’s long-term operational and facility space needs.
