The time has come for residents of Manitowoc County to have their voice heard on the 2027 budget.
The County Board of Supervisors will be in the County Board Room in the Heritage Center at 6:00 tonight (October 26th), where they will commemorate the life and service of former Board Supervisor Bob Cavanaugh.
Then, they will hold a public hearing on the proposed spending package, which County Executive Tyler Martell told SeehaferNews.com includes an increase in property taxes, changes to how the Opioid Settlement funding will be used, and a reduction in annual borrowing.
The Board will also discuss a personnel reallocation in the Sheriff’s Department/Jail division, an amendment to the sick leave policy, and the Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Program.
