The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources reminds residents that they can submit comments to the Wisconsin Conservation Congress.
The group is an independent organization of citizens that advises the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board and DNR on how to manage the state’s natural resources responsibly.
If a resident has a concern to submit, it must be of statewide impact, practical, achievable, reasonable, and within the mission of the Conservation Congress.
Once the submission process closes on February 8th, staff will review submissions, and resolutions that meet the necessary criteria will be prepared for the 2027 Spring Hearings.
Wisconsin residents may not submit more than two resolutions a year.
More information about next year’s meetings by the Wisconsin Conservation Congress is available at dnr.wisconsin.gov.
