Several local and area cross-country athletes look to punch their ticket to next Saturday’s WIAA State Cross Country meet at Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids as Division Two Sectional meets are held throughout the state.
Two Rivers will host a Division Two meet this afternoon (October 23rd) at the high school, with teams expected to compete besides the host Raiders include Kiel, Denmark, Chilton, Sturgeon Bay Luxemburg Casco, Wrightstown, and Notre Dame Academy of Green Bay.
Meanwhile, Kewaskum will host a Division Two Sectional at Hon-e-kor Golf Course with the field to include Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan South (girls only), Plymouth, Cedar Grove-Belgium and Oostburg.
The top two teams, along with the top five individuals from a state non-qualifying team, advance to next Saturday’s state meet.
Races at both sites are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
