A 70-year-old Fond du Lac County man has died after he crashed his ATV.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Walnut Road near Century Lane in the Town of Forest just before 6:00 Wednesday evening (October 21st) after a passing motorist reported an ATV crash.
The caller said that a man was lying on the ground unresponsive next to the ATV, which was on its side near the shoulder.
Numerous other area first responders were also called, and while life-saving efforts were made, the 70-year-old Fond du Lac County man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation found that the man was traveling west on Walnut Road, pulling a tow-behind brush mower, when he lost control and flipped the vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
